It’s 2020. Who can even believe that? We definitely can’t. It’s been over a month since we posted, and for good reason. December was a blur of random networking, finishing holiday shopping, and frantically trying to place time with family over eating holiday cookie gift bags while clicking through documents at work.

With a new year in our grasp, we’ve finally got to the point in January where the networking fire is hot, and we are ready to jump into it. Have any of you heard the phrase “having multiple irons in the fire?” Well we have, and we love it. We thrive in it. We live it. For the first half of the year, Summer and I have both been focusing on what irons are important to us. What, as business partners, as owners of a company, and as workers in the grand scheme of the Charlotte community do we really want? What do we want to have an impact on? These are the questions we have been asking ourselves as of late. And the answer? In totality, we don’t know.

We do know, however, that there are main components of our respective New Years’ resolutions that we want to live out all year, especially in in the first half. First and foremost, we want both want to form lasting connections with the CLT community, that will lead to long term business relationships. Second, we want to make those relationships count for not only professional, but personal, growth. Multiple irons for both of us means meeting people and interacting with those that not only can help us to grow to be more savvy business owners, but who can also lead us down other paths.

Speaking of irons and paths, did you know there are multiple networking events kicking off this week and next for the CLT professional? We will be at the Speed Networking event put on by NetworkNite and Network After Work. We hope to see you there.
