This past week, the Queen City has been alive with entrepreneurial spirit. In addition to several events that took place in NoDa and Plaza Midwood, Camp North End hosted a SoGal pitch competition for women geared businesses to secure funding for startup endeavors. The Charlotte Business Journal covered the event, and from what we can tell, there were some pretty awesome ideas presented, including everything from an Asheville based aromatherapy business (ADORAtherapy) to Etta Epidermis, a Denver based tool that helps detect skin cancer via artificial intelligence.

Camp North End has been hosting some interesting mixers and mingles for the CLT community, and has fully bred a hub for innovation on the networking and career path for those new to the business scene. They will be hosting several business expos coming up in the fall, and we may or may not be in attendance at some of them. Keep your eyes peeled!

In other news, we found a thrift filing cabinet to add to our repertoire of supplies to aid in the startup paperwork that undoubtedly takes over our living spaces. What did you add to your business this week, CLT? From new ideas, networking connections, to basement shift finds, we would love to know!
