After a bit of a hiatus for the past couple of weeks, we are back in full swing and ready to take on the Queen City and all of her activities yet again. In addition to school starting this past week, network events and professional pop ups are on the near horizon for late summer and soon to be early fall events. In a recent poll with our respective offices as to what makes for an interesting blog/vlog visit, we came to the conclusion that real life progress of what its like to run and operate a startup business is where the buzz is located. So, in addition to our articles we write about, our blog and vlog will begin to focus on the weekly occurrences that happen in running a startup business, and how to use tips and tricks in your own for the better.
Recently, we have struggled with finding network events that the populous in CLT actually attend in the summertime given everyone seems to be on vacation with delayed plans on return. That has been a struggle. However, we are very excited to report that we will be participating in some city wide expos in the near future. Ah, a silver lining. As a small business, we haven’t done many, if any, expos before. This past week we have spent researching how to approach branding for that event, as well as what we believe people will want to see there (hello, our Chief Dog Officers, anyone?).
In addition to market research, we have been continuously and tirelessly working for our clients. Especially on the bookkeeping front. Numbers are what Summer does best, and she works continuously to make sure all of our clients are happy. What is the saying again? A woman who is early to bed and early to rise is healthy, wealthy and wise? I don’t know about that, but our clients certainly are as a result of her skills.
In terms of helpful tips and tricks, CNN put out a really neat article on Friday about how to solve workplace dilemmas. I found it to be very helpful in my daily interaction with co-workers.
